The Nomad Sego
For the well-kept wanderer, this shave soap goes where you go. Take in the scents of Sweetbay, lime and rum. This is a fresher take on the traditional bay rum. Instead of heavy spice, we kept it a bit lighter with a more forward citrus pop. This is a sexy and masculine blend.
Our tallow base is guaranteed to impress you with its elite level slickness, residual, cushion, glide, and unsurpassed post shave feel. We feel our post shave face feel is where we shine most, as we consider this a part of your skin health and the way your skin feels for the rest of your day.
DIRECTIONS: For the best wet-shave we recommend using during or after a hot shower. Wet your shaving brush and whisk it over the soap. Lather on your mug and shave with the grain. Re-lather and shave against the grain for a baby butt shave. Rinse with cold water.

This has become a very used soap in my rotation. Uses a lot of water to get the soap where it needs to be which in turn provides a very slick and comfortable shave. The matching aftershave balm is great as well. Leaves your face soft and hydrated.
This base smells phenomenal and is super slick! It has quickly become my favorite daily shave soap!
I’m pretty particular about what soap bases I use, and holy heck this is good stuff! The base is really soft, so I’m still working on not overloading (but overloading is better than under-loading). It lathers on the face into a very dense, insanely slick lather. Seriously, there are a few soap bases that I think have reached the apex of what shave soap can be (of course, I’m sure I’ll be proven wrong soon), and this is one of them. This is A bay rum scent, but with lime on top for a citrus kick. The lime is a really nice addition and really brightens up the scent. Behind the lime is a vaguely medicinal (in a good way) bay. Rum is listed as a note, but I do not get much (which I consider a good thing). It’s a really nice scent. The lime gives the scent a real citrus pop, which brightens my mornings midway through this cold Montana winter. It would also be great in warm weather. The scent makes me think of a nice beach somewhere near the ocean and puts a smile on my face.
After trying around 20 soaps, the Sego base so far is my favorite base. It loads effortlessly to the shave brush. It can create any lather you want. I have been able to make it dense like custard, and it still carries enough hydration to be slick. I also have added more hydration for a more lofty lather- it never seems to get the tiny air bubbles that come about with over hydration. I cane easily get four passes out of one load. The Nomad fragrance is a mild, non-overwhelming bay rum. You definitely still get the bay leaf and rum notes, but the lime notes are higher than in some others. The fragrance follows you gently without announcing its presence all day.
ELITE FOR SURE!
First of all, I'm not a huge bay rum fan but after smelling this one, I'm a bay rum convert! This one has all the elements of bay rum without the heavy spiciness, very nice and rounded bay rum scent - the lime in this really brightens it up a bit. Secondly, this new SEGO base is phenomenal - I loaded my brush for around 30 seconds and had enough lather to last me several shaves - I might have to dial my loading time down next time! The slickness and cushion this soap gives is elite, one of the best I've ever used. One of the smoothest and enjoyable shaves I have had in a while - no nicks or cuts for me! Overall a fantastic product! Definitely would recommend you to try!!!
